Here I am trying to be a first time blogger and have no idea what I am doing! I really like to talk and randomly talk about nothing, but what the heck I’ll give it a try.
New Mercies! Why Do I Deserve New Mercies Everyday?
A couple of years ago I sang with a Ladies Ensemble at a church I attended before God lead my family to Crosspoint Community Church. We sang a praise song entitled, “New Mercies.” The lyrics are repeated over and over, but beautiful. Through this praise song I learned that Jesus was giving me new mercies everyday! If your like me, somehow, I/we manage to sin everyday! God having great mercy on us is oh so compassionate and forgiving. It is inevitable that sin is going to creep into my life (not that I want to sin but I am human and we are fighting spiritual warfare). There are many times my mind goes back to the lyrics of “New Mercies,” and Gods Word and I know at that moment in time of sin I can ask for that mercy and forgiveness.

I get those New Mercies everyday because God tells me in Isaiah 1:18 “No matter how deep the stain of your sins, I can remove it. I can make you as clean as freshly fallen snow. Even if you are stained as red as crimson, I can make you as white as wool.”
Psalm 86:5 O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask your aid.
Colossians 1:14 God has purchased our freedom with his blood and has forgiven all our sins.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong.
All this is God’s promise to us! God will forgive every sin because Christ has already paid the penalty for all sin by his death on the Cross.
I am so glad that God loves me so much that He thinks I deserve the new mercies that He gives to me everyday!
